There is also a way for pedestrains and bicyclists through the tunnel illuminated from 06:00 am to 09:00 pm. A massive wood fence is seperating the way from the track.
 

The tunnel built in 1870 is 181 meters long.
 

A train to Trier comes out of the southern tunnel portal heading for Kyllburg.
